Your website is arguably the best (or worst) advertising for your business. You should know how many visitors you get to your site and you should also know if it is producing the desired result for your business. There are many reasons to redesign a site; maybe it was built on a small budget or home made, it is five years old and just looks "dated", your business has grown etc etc.
It may be hard for you to gauge whether your site is in need of a bit of redesign work but some of the points below should help you to make a decision:
- Does your site really reflect the quality of your business.
- Look at the competition - are you better placed in terms of quality, content and search engine visibility.
- Are there any significant features that competitors offer that you don't.
- Find 'that special person' who is always prepared to give you an honest opinion and ask them what they think.
- If you speak to your clients, ask them if they have used your site and what they thought.
